Cross-Cultural Internship Program (CCIP Summer/New York)

Below indicates the 7-week program fee of USD 2166, USD 2460 or USD 2999 (fee varies by room type). The rates involve third-party charges (visa sponsor and the housing facility) are subject to change without notice.
Students who are American citizens please disregard fee items pertaining to the J-1 visa application. Students attending the program for a longer duration (e.g. 8-14 weeks) will be subject to additional charges. Contact us for details.
(1) Program administration/placement: USD 685
(2) Housing: USD 1764 (single)/USD 1225 (double)/USD 931 (triple)
(3) J-1 visa sponsorship fee: USD 550 (charged by the visa sponsor)
The program fee of (Item #1) covers the following:
(1) Airport pickup (arrival only, JFK or LGA)
(2) One T-Mobile SIM card (expires in 3 months, USD 20 value plus USD 10 card)
(3) Certificate of Participation (upon successful completion of the program)
(4) Placement, ongoing support and preparation
(5) Orientations and activity coordination
(6) Emergency support and crisis intervention
Below indicates additional estimated costs charged by third parties.
(1) SEVIS I-901 fee: USD 180 (charged by the Department of Homeland Security, submit before you visit the consulate)
(2) Machine Readable Visa (MRV) fee: USD 140 (by the Department of State, submit before you visit the consulate)
(3) Air ticket (USD 1000-1500) (students purchase their own plane tickets)
(4) Travel insurance: Varies
(5) Medical insurance: TBD (required)
(6) Subway (USD 89/month x 2 months) = USD 178
(7) Meals and miscellaneous expenses (USD 12/day x 49 days) = USD 588
Below fees will be charged upon occurrence.
(1) DS-2019/DS-7002 forms replacement/reissuance: USD 100
(2) Visa validation (for crossing the border during the program): USD 50
(3) Mailing an int'l. package under 16 oz: USD 50
(4) Mailing a domestic package under 16 oz: USD 25
(5) Wire transfer fee: USD 40
(6) Bounced check fee: USD 30
(7) Visa extension (upon arrival): USD 100

Students will not be charged until after the confirmation of placement when the first installment is due. The first installment includes the program fee, J-1 Intern visa sponsorship fee (this fee will be charged by the visa sponsor) and health insurance. The second installment varies by room type and will be due by Fri, April 22, 2011.
Note that the program fee doesn't cover special courier service (e.g. UPS). All payments must be made in US dollars and in the form of an international bank draft for US deposit (not for local deposit, make sure the bottom shows a 9-digit code).
Make the bank drafts payable to FUSIA Communications, Inc. and use a pencil to write your name on the back of the draft. Send the bank draft to the following address before the deadlines.

Students of our partner universities may have to follow a separate set of payment instructions. Be reminded to scan and email us a photocopy before submitting a bank draft.
We do not accept bank checks. Students who choose to pay via wire transfer are subject to an additional fee (if so, include the fee in your check).
