Department of Labor (DOL)

The Department of Labor (DOL) is a federal agency under the government's executive branch. It was created in 1913 with the purpose to “foster, promote, and develop the welfare of the wage earners of the United States, to improve their working conditions, and to advance their opportunities for profitable employment” according to Pub. L 62-426.
