Overview

MBTA Subway, commonly known as the “T,” operates the Red, Orange, Blue, and Green Lines throughout Boston and nearby communities. The system connects Downtown Boston with Cambridge, Somerville, Brookline, Newton, Quincy, Revere, and major destinations including universities, hospitals, Fenway Park, Boston Common, and Logan Airport connections. Riders can pay using CharlieCard, CharlieTicket, contactless bank cards, or mobile wallets.
