Overview
BART is the Bay Area’s principal regional rapid-transit system, connecting San Francisco with Oakland, Berkeley, Richmond, Fremont, Dublin, Walnut Creek, Antioch, Millbrae, San Francisco International Airport, and Berryessa/North San José. The system provides connections with Caltrain, Amtrak, Muni, AC Transit, VTA, and other regional transportation services. Fares are based on distance traveled, and passengers must tap when entering and exiting using Clipper or an accepted contactless payment method.
