Overview
Thirty Meter Telescope International Observatory, known as TIO, is a non-profit international partnership established to construct and operate an advanced thirty-meter class optical-infrared telescope. The proposed telescope design features a segmented primary mirror composed of 492 individual hexagonal segments, delivering unprecedented spatial resolution and light-gathering capability. By observing the earliest stars, cosmic reionization, and exoplanet atmospheres, the observatory will expand humanity’s cosmological horizon.
