Hunter College is a respected public university with faculty members who hold PhDs from Yale, Princeton, and Johns Hopkins, among other prestigious academic institutions. The students met with the administrative coordinator of Hunter College’s English Department (she is also an adjunct professor, and a local political organizer and poet) to learn about political organizing and the contemporary lineage of the New York School of Poets.
