The face of social justice in NYC, Assemblyman Ron Kim, representing areas including Whitestone, Flushing, College Point, and Murray Hill provided our participants with a rare glimpse into his vision. Assemblyman Kim is a Korean American who immigrated to Queens at a young age and has been a leading voice on issues related to economic and social justice. The visit provided participants with valuable insights into the workings of the New York State government and the role of legislators in advocating for their constituents.
