The Jamaica YMCA, an absolute staple of the Jamaica neighborhood. provided our participants with a tour of their facilities. In addition to supporting the physical wellness of the communitym, the organization offers safe and affordable housing for individuals who are experiencing homelessness or facing other housing challenges. Cedric Dew, the Executive Director of Jamaica YMCA, conducted a talk for the participants, providing valuable insights into the YMCA’s work in serving the community. The visit provided participants with a deeper understanding of the important role that the Jamaica YMCA plays in helping vulnerable individuals and families in the community.
