Rui Jie and Arun completed their J-1 internships at SpeakHire in New York City during the winter season. Through participating in approved software engineering activities under supervisor guidance, they strengthened their technical skills in React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, database management, and version control while applying professional engineering practices in a fast-paced environment. Experiencing life in NYC during winter, including the holiday period, supported their personal growth, independence, and cross-cultural development, contributing to a fulfilling J-1 program experience.
